The purpose of this presentation is to provide educators with theoretical foundations and practical strategies for using songs to develop listening comprehension skills in language learning contexts. Through examples and classroom-ready activities, the presentation illustrates how songs can be used to promote listening processes. It also presents a framework for designing effective pre-listening, while-listening, and post-listening tasks, together with a collection of activities that encourage learners to engage actively with spoken texts.
